It started in 2006, when our founder and CEO, Gael Rouvroy, turned two dozen chips into one — creating the world’s first single-chip JPEG 2000 decoder. Since 2015, we have been leading the JPEG XS standardization, culminating in the first IP Core demonstrations in 2018 and product introductions at CES 2019.

The first international compression standard specifically designed for low complexity, low power, ultra-low latency, and high-integrity image, video, and sensor data!

Building on this innovation intoPIX also delivers complete SMPTE ST 2110 and IPMX‑compatible solutions across hardware, SDKs, and software platforms. Our technologies enable ultra-low-latency, efficient IP video ecosystems — from SoC‑based devices at the edge to COTS servers and cloud infrastructures.
